Hibernation

This is what we see outside every window.
We are settling in for a winter of cold weather and lots of snow.

Our Advent Calendar

As a new family with small children we are continuing to create new traditions each year.  We try some one year and some others the next trying to figure out what works best.  Last year and again this year we did an advent calendar to help Sam with the counting down of the days.
A few year back Paul's Mom gave me an advent blanket, and last year we hung it on the wall and put little ornaments inside that we took out everyday and hung on a little tree in Sam's room.
This year we put larger ornaments in it for the big tree as well as a little note (that can be printed from Anna over at Noodlehead.)  This tradition seems to be working well for us plus the kids are very excited each morning to get up and put a new ornament on the tree.

Where to Find Us: Grackle Coffee Company

With the holidays fast approaching I thought I would do a little series here this week on the different places that you can find my products.  I have product in a wide array of places each picked with me and my art in mind.

First let me introduce Grackle Coffee Company
The Grackle Coffee Company is located on Main Street in Schomberg about 10 minutes West of Newmarket.  Amanda has created an amazing feel for the cafe, the staff is friendly and helpful and the food is delicious.  She makes all her food with local organic products and the coffee is fair trade and organic as well.  The artist work she carries is unique and original and you can find that one of a kind gift for that special someone.
To check out more about the cafe check out her website for hours and special events.

Each Day

Each day I come here.
I start to type
I get too tired to finish a thought
I crawl back to the couch
I watch another episode of Little Einsteins with the Kids
I think about dinner, realize thinking about food makes me feel even more sick than I already feel
Try not to let the mess growing around me bother me
I know Paul will be home soon and all will be better
I will be better tomorrow or at the very least I am one day closer to 12 weeks and feeling better.
