One of the things on my list of 73 in 730 days was to make quilts for each of the kids beds.
For Christmas I finished one of them. Lily is still sleeping in a crib and so I am planning on making hers for when she moves into a big bed. She is just on the cusp of such a transition so I had better bet sewing.
I made an "Eye Spy" quilt for Sam. A series of rows of different fabrics. I was able to purchase a set from a great shop of Etsy with the squares precut. All I had to do was sew! I lined the back with fleece for a comfy feel and the binding is hand sewn.
It was a huge hit Christmas morning and I have since heard him a few times playing Eye Spy with Lily and himself.
